The Annual Patong Carnival on Phuket kicks off on November 1 with a busy three-day schedule of displays and activities. The Carnival has become known for its sensational costumes and lively atmosphere, and is a favourite event with visitors who like to absorb the diverse delights of the island whilst on vacation.
Each year, the Patong Festival marks the beginning of Thailand’s peak tourism season. The main events will be concentrated along Patong’s famous Bangla Road, down Soi Praisanee and Soi Dr Wattana. The Thai Seafood Sensation Zone will offer a feast of traditional dishes, in addition to an array of other Asian cuisines including Japanese, Vietnamese, Indian, Korean and Chinese, so visitors will be spoilt for culinary choice. The “Global Tastes Seafood Zone” will offer a platter of international options, while the “Local Way Zone” will focus on local street food and Thai cuisine.
The activities included in the official Patong Carnival will be separated into different areas, including the Entertainment Zone where visitors will be able to enjoy live music and cultural performances.
